INSERTS:
SHABBAT SCRIPTURE
13.”If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your own pleasure on My Holy Day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy Day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
14.Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with heritage of Yacov your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Come to the Table
By Dorcas
Those who are committed to gathering on the seventh day for worship and fellowship together understand that YHWY commanded His people to “Remember the Sabbath to keep it holy” (Ex 20:8). These words convey a sense of responsibility, to be sure, but equally inherent is a sense of calling to the people of YAH, of invitation.
Shabbat belongs to the Creator (Ex 31:12) Who invites His people to meet Him there to rest in all that He is and reverence Him with our words and deeds in a set apart manner.
Our Cornerstone Shabbat gathering is a celebration of our Elohim; the Oneg we enjoy together is a supporting pillar of the celebration. Shabbat Oneg is an invitation to share family, friendship and food with civility and humility.
Please come thoughtfully and joyfully to the Table.
Shalom,
Jud
