Breaker Rock Beach July 29th – August 2nd
We are looking forward to welcoming your children to Breaker Rock Beach Vacation Bible School at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Salem, Oregon! Breaker Rock Beach is a Lifeway Vacation Bible School program. Here’s what they have to say about it:
“Breaker Rock rises majestically as a symbol of strength, standing firm against the force of wind and waves. At Breaker Rock Beach, kids will learn to recognize the difference between what the world says is true and what God says is true. They’ll encounter five everyday sayings that sound right, but dangerously miss the truth found in God’s Word. Each day, kids will be challenged to know that God’s truth never changes– even when it’s radically different from what some people say. They’ll discover that God does not want them to be conformed to this age, but to be transformed by the renewing of their minds so that they can discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2).
Children ages four to twelve will be divided into age groups to learn the truth of God’s Word through fun songs, motivational outdoor games, team-building water play, and hands-on crafts. Please dress your children for outdoor and water play and have them bring a water bottle; it is not necessary to bring food because refreshing, nutritious snacks will be provided. Sunscreen and sun protection gear are highly recommended.

Schedule
VBS will be held Monday, July 29th, through Friday, August 2nd, 2024.
- 8:45 a.m. Drop off and parent sign in begins
- 9:00 a.m. Worship rally
- 9:30 a.m. Classroom lesson and craft
- 10:40 a.m. Snack provided by Cornerstone
- 11:00 a.m. Outdoor recreation activities (including water play)
- 11:40 a.m. Closing review and worship rally
- 12:00 p.m. Class dismissed, parents pick-up their campers
On Saturday, August 3rd from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. there will be an opportunity for parents to watch the children perform their memorized bible verses through song and dance. There will be opportunities to take photos in front of the props in the sanctuary. In addition, parents are invited to a complimentary lunch prepared by church members immediately after the performance.
Participants and Registration
Breaker Rock Beach Vacation Bible School curriculum at Cornerstone Baptist Church is targeted to children ages 4 through 12. Classes are organized as follows: pre-K/Kindergarten, 1st/2nd grades, 3rd/4th grades, and 5th/6th grades. Please register using the registration link and provide details regarding your child’s special needs, allergies, or any concerns you may have. Alternatively, you may pick up a paper Registration Form from the Cornerstone office Wednesday – Friday from 10 AM to 3 PM. Paper copies of the Registration Form will also be available at the Registration Desk each day of Vacation Bible School July 29th through August 2nd. Walk-in registration is accepted.
Wellness Policy
If your child is unwell, please keep them home. Your child will be sent home if they are experiencing any of the following symptoms:
- Fever
- Cough
- Headache
- Runny nose
- Skin rash or infection
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Conjunctivitis (pink eye)

Safety Policy
Children must be dropped off and picked up by an approved adult guardian listed on the Registration Form. The parent or guardian must escort the child to/from the registration table to sign in and sign out when dropping off or picking up children. Name tags will be issued to the children upon arrival, any allergies will be noted on the child’s name tag. Our safety team is certified in Child CPR and First Aid. All VBS staff are background-checked.
